When I see him in that uniform
My heart does flips and leaps
He looks so proud and crispy-straight
Inside me knots up deep
Just his wearing that blue suit
Creates a different air
He's tall and firm and behaves as though
His CO's standing there
An officer, although he's young
The ladies tell him, "Come!
Free haircuts and free apple pie
For the handsome, uniformed one!"
There's some who see him in his khaki
And want to start a fight
And then he has to calm them down
By doing what is right
There's others, still, who are struck
With fear at the mere sight
Of English men in Uniform
A symbol of truth and might
It isn't known why a simple suit
Makes us behave in such ways
Low-tech tactics bring response
In these hi-tech days!
