Looking for life in all the wrong places
I was looking for life in all the wrong places,
Not knowing my fate was my own.
I shared my life with all the wrong people,
When I should have struck out on my own.
I drifted through life, did everything wrong
Or so I thought at the time.
Each mistake I made seemed to be fate.
It felt like the fault was all mine.
I thought it was me, I was born this way
Not meant to be happy at all.
I tried so hard to get things right
Yet, somehow, always managed to fall.
One day all the pieces just fell into place
And happiness was there I could see.
I just had to be strong and take control.
I knew I could do it for me.
I was a success, my kids were proof.
I could turn my life around.
I discovered myself, my soul, my strength
And happiness now I have found.
So, don't look for life in all the wrong places.
Look into your soul and you'll see
That happiness lies within yourself.
You just have to be strong, like me.

Sometimes it's so hard turning

Don't stick with something for fear of hurting others.
