It was a beautiful night, just perfect for a
ride
Where I was headed I had yet to decide
After a long week's work, just trying to unwind
Riding into the darkness, clearing my mind
Breathing fresh country air with the wind in my face
Just me, my Harley, and the wide-open space
Rounding the next curve, I couldn't believe what I was seeing
For standing by the road, the most beautiful human being
Dressed in cut off jeans and a white halter top
I had no other choice, I definitely had to stop
Without a word she got on and wrapped her arms around me tight
And the two of us rode off into the warm summer night
A few hours later I pulled into a campground
It was quiet and peaceful no one else was around
As I set up camp not a word did she have to say
She had not spoken a word the entire way
The next morning when I awoke this thing of beauty was gone
So I packed up the bike and headed back alone
The ride home was as refreshing as could be
I felt that from all my worries, I was now free
As I pulled into my driveway, bikes were parked everywhere
And I couldn't for the life of me figure why they were there
Walking through the door, no one spoke or asked me where I'd been
It was like no one had even noticed that I had come in.
Sitting at the table reading a newspaper, several ladies wept
The headlines read
